core is the same size as the original, & has a foam rubber seal attached around the perimeter of the core.

air box
cavity without ANY modifications, and  you DO NOT NEED extra strips
of any kind
of padding for  RATTLE PREVENTION.
This is a correctly made part. No holes needed to be drilled, no extra screws to hold the part in place... Nothing.
This heater core has IMPROVED design over the design of the ORIGINAL  part that you are about to replace because it is leaking. Reason behind the leak is the design flaw,
where Aluminum core molded in to the plastic frame. Aluminum expands more when exposed to heat, plastic does less.With time , this DYNAMIC DUO develops leaks.
The picture below shows OEM Original Volvo BEHR  brand  part with the  red  arrows pointing at the leak areas.
Please Note: We are transitioning to black colored plastic at the moment. This is an improved material formula.
All warranties are still exactly the same! Do not panic if you get a black core. It's all good!
We had analyzed this problem, and developed the heater core with  side tanks  mechanically crimped to the core ,and not injection molded together. Picture below is to show you EXACTLY what we re talking about.
2 new  rubber o ring will be included with the heater core. Old o- rings should be removed from the connecting tubes
on your Volvo and discarded.
Please use  replacement o-rings provided
this is the way the heater core will be packaged for shipping. Heavy cardboard will protect the coil element
to prevent any damages
This heater core was assembled in Estonia, by AS ALVO INDUSTRIES for SWEDISH CAR PARTS. Plastic side tanks were made in Estonia. Core body was made in Italy.  Part is NEW in the box. new rubber  O rings included , and foam rubber gasket is installed.Foam rubber gasket is used to sealing the area between the Air box  where heater core goes and the heater core itself. Our heater cores are made correctly- they do not rattle after the installation. nothing to worry about
This is High quality heater core, made from correct materials. The reason for it being not as  EXPENSIVE as his friends on Ebay,-  It was assembled by the industrial robot. There is NOTHING cheap about this heater core.

Few pointers for you to help you keep your Volvo's cooling and heating system in good order
Maintain good quality antifreeze in your cooling system. This will prevent possible corrosion related failures of the components, regardless of their origin
Maintain radiator cooling fan, thermostat , fan relay and temperature sensors in good order, of any of the mentioned components are getting old and worn out, electrical connectors corroded or missing, - this will contribute to the higher system pressure and will cause pressure related damages .
Our heater cores have better design in comparison, but they are NOT design to compensate for the malfunction of the rest of the cooling system of your Volvo.
