Japanese Woodwork Vintage Hand Painted "Peek-a-boo" Storage Box

Description

This hand-painted Japanese storage box is a beautiful piece of vintage woodwork. The top features a bird and floral design. The top of the box slides open to reveal a storage compartment when the bottom drawer is pulled out. There is some type of mechanism that makes a clicking sound when doing so. This box was purchased in Japan in the late 60s/early 70s. Some visible wear consistent with age but no missing pieces or cracks, etc. Measurements are approximately 5" long x 3.5" wide x 2.5" tall.
