Handsome Vintage 1950s Poole Sterling Silver Georgian Large Size Water Pitcher

Presented is a handsome Poole sterling silver water pitcher. This piece dates to around the 1950s-1960s. The pitcher is made in the Georgian pattern, which as the name suggests has a very traditional English look. The rim of the pitcher has a gadrooned design, and the handle is done in a classical C scroll form with a foliate thumbpiece. The pitcher has an ice-catcher at the spout, which is quite convenient and useful for pouring ice water. The pitcher is a good large size, with a capacity of 9 cups (72 fluid ounces/2.1 liters).
This piece is in great overall condition. There have been a couple of professional dent removals, which are not noticeable from the exterior and can only be identified from the interior. There are no splits, no leaks, no existing dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Poole, as well as the number 1027 and the name of the pattern, Georgian.
The pitcher stands about 10 1/2 inches tall.
The pitcher weighs 874 grams or 30.8 regular ounces.
