    Description

    Anastasius I.
    491-518AD.
    Æ Follis
    Constantinople mint,
    Struck 498-512AD.
Obv:  Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right
    Rev:  Large M
In 498 AD, Anastasius introduced multiples of the nummis, the tiny <1 gram low-denomination copper coin of the time. The largest multiple, at M=40 Nummi, weighed c.9 grams.
In 512 AD the weights of the copper denominations were doubled, without any change in design.
This represents a rather curious and unusual event in Numismatic history. Usually the change goes the other way around, coins are largest when introduced, and with any change in size over time, the newer coins are produced at smaller weights to accommodate inflation, increased profit, etc.
    23.5 mm, 7.42 grams

    COMBINED POSTAGE:
USA: flat fee per package, no additional postage for additional coins.
Worldwide: charged at actual cost (though eBay) per package, price should be the same or nearly the same no matter how many coins.
    30 day returns.
All coins unconditionally guaranteed genuine without time limit.
Do not pay until it is time to ship:
If you think you might buy additional items within the next week, you should pay when you are done with all of your purchases.   In order to maintain a preferred commission schedule, eBay expects me to ship items within one day of receiving payment. When I receive payment I ship as soon as possible.
Ebay may not automatically apply combined postage.
I will send invoices when needed.  If I don't, just ask for an invoice with combined postage.  If you pay for your items without the combined postage, I can just refund the extra.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS, PLEASE NOTE:  Direct international shipping is calculated by eBay at actual cost.
In general, the price for an international package is around .
It may cost a lot less for people in other countries to send the same package to me, but that is my cost from where I am.  There may also be a problem with with eBay combining postage when buying multiple coins.   Postage to most international locations should be the same for one coin or multiple coins.  It doesn't matter how many coins in the shipment, the postage should be pretty much the same as for one coin.  If it is significantly higher, then ask for an invoice with combined postage and I will provide one.
